    The custom curriculum has a section under SYSTEM SETUP & DATA PREP called the Data Migration plan. The videos in this section give you the knowledge that will allow you to learn and identify the basic information about inventory, customers, and suppliers. That information will enable you to understand what the data will need to look like once the data load is finished. Then the videos will walk you through the process of actually loading the data. Make sure to apply and test all of the lessons you learn in the videos. Applying the knowledge from the videos is the biggest key to success as it facilitates learning more than any video can do.

    Milestone #1) You have reviewed all of the videos

    Milestone #2) You have prepared your excel sheets for customers, suppliers, and inventory

    Milestone #3) You have created inventory, customers, and suppliers manually in System Five. You will know you have been thorough if you can look up anything you normally would need to access about your sample customers, suppliers, or inventory.

    Milestone #4) You have loaded your customers, suppliers, and inventory into System Five.

    Milestone #5) You have created a list of problems and how to questions for review on your next appointment.

    Thank you for viewing this video. At this point you should know how to approach the job of learning the data load process for customers suppliers and inventory.

    Remember, performing the data load processes will help you retain and reinforce the process for future use. Don’t be afraid to break things. Just make a backup before hand so we have something to restore to.

    We recommend where possible to use ‘dual monitors’ so you can play the video on one screen and stop, start or rewind it while you do hands on practice using the second screen.

    Once the data load or sample data load process is complete you can begin to test other areas of the software like receiving, performing sales, doing the end of day procedure, and other key processes.
