FOLLOW UP, CONTROL, AND SUMMARY
- Work order
- Sending the PO
- Receiving the PO
- Updating the invoice
- Completing the invoice
- Billing
- Editing the completed invoice
- Using the cost of $0 to identify which parts we are working in
- Sales history on unknown freight
- GL Account for unknown freight and related GL reports
- Special orders help us properly track the order. This allows us to keep the invoice line attached to the PO which can be linked to the bill.
- Available quantity on regular freight parts is $0 unless something has gone wrong.
- The scenario is flexible: other methods like putting a rate on the freight part and using quantity for units. This is a way to change the details, but keeping the same general plan in place.
- Allows for you to have other employees add value to the overall process. Example: Your shipper receiver can provide information on the real costs and what the prices should have been. This can help make sure you charge enough for freight.
- Each role in the company is separate, but the process allows for communication of enough information to allow each person in the process to perform their task.
